If the area to be treated has been recently treated with insecticide, thoroughly clean the area before applying this bait. Do not spray insecticide over gel as this may cause the bait to become repellent. Do not apply to areas that are routinely washed (such as countertops) as bait may be removed or diluted and spread onto the surface.

Substantial reduction in ants foraging should be seen within a few days to a week. For effective management of certain ant species such as Argentine ant, reduction of food sources (such as honeydew-producing insects like aphids) near entry points around the structure is critical.
