Cuba Travels: Havana & Vinales - DJI Phantom Drone GoPro

Someone once asked us "Is Cuba really that colorful or is everyone just using the same Instagram filter?" -- Let me tell you, Cuba is really THAT colorful!

With the recent change in relationship between the USA and Cuba, we decide to move this little island up on our travel bucket list in hopes that we could still experience that nostalgic untouched place before it was infiltrated by the Starbuck's and Hilton's of the world. The pictures from Cuba always look vintage no matter what year they are taken in, so setting foot and wandering around these vintage streets in real life was most definitely surreal.

We opted for an AirBnb in Vedado as our home-base, the reason being that it would give us a good reason to explore more than the timeworn city center that is Old Havana, and it did!

Chapter Skip
Havana Cathedral 0:35
Playas Del Este 1:25
Vinales 2:23
Old Havana 3:24
Morro Castle 3:59
Mayko Blanco 5:21

Here is a rundown of our week in Cuba:

- Vedado (homebase): is 10mins east of Old Havana. We found a private little apartment via AirBnb that was/is ran by a lovely family that made us breakfast every morning. The hospitality in Cuba is unparalleled. Eat at: New George, located at 3rd between A and B, around the corner from the the big Melia Cohiba hotel.

- Old Havana:
The best way to see Old Havana when you first arrive is via a bike tour for $5 an hour. Walk down Obispo (one of the main roads), visit the Cathedral, check out the old cars outside of Hotel Inglaterra and visit “Almacenes San José” Market located on the port for all sorts of cuban souvenirs.
Where to eat: El Chanchulero. But otherwise, avoid restaurants with big flashy signs. You will get the most authentic meals at “Casa Particulares” aka private homes. Ask a local for a recommendation.

- Beaches:
Playas del Este (Beaches of the East) is composed by a string of 6 white sand and turquoise water beaches. Hop on a bus across the street from Hotel Inglaterra, $10/pp will get you a round trip ticket to this paradise. The ride is aprox 30 mins from Old Havana and leaves every 30 mins.
Where to eat: Get off at the “Mar Azul” beach stop. There is a BBQ stand between the beach and Hotel Tropicoco that sells ridiculously good fried chicken and pork loin. Walk down to Guanabo beach for a killer $1 piña colada (little shack on the street side).

- Nightlife:
We tried to experience Fabrica de las Artes but unfortunately it happened to be under a remodel phase while we were there. Luckily it also leads us to a place called Club 1830 right around the corner. Filler with locals showcasing the craziest salsa moves. Truly incredible.

Hope you enjoy the video!

DIY AT HOME - Business Sales Close Plan - Milestones to Close the Deal***

[ad_1] Being with my feet on the sales ground for 25 years in IT, I can recommend that many steps in the sales process need to be discussed and agreed internally and with the business customer to come to an agreed and signed contract. Following this sales process through a so called 'Sales Close Plan', describes all the necessary milestones that need to be agreed from a resource perspective, internally from a supplier perspective as well as from the business customer resource perspective. This Sales Close Plan will enable you to set upfront the right expectations during the contract negotiation milestones during an enterprise sales process. Discuss with your business customer the close plan and have your customer sign/off the Sales Close Plan on timescales and milestones. If each milestone is finalized confirm this in email to your customer so all expectations and potential road blocks keeps transparent and visible to you as supplier and business customer. 1. Identify the Power...
