With the changing weather, home maintenance is a must and it does not have to take long.

The Southern half of the US does not need to worry about insulation as much as the North, but we do have issues with insulation (like pest and rodent control).

6. Finally, if you have air conditioners that are window units, either take them out of the windows or cover with an air conditioner cover. If that is not available, put a garbage bag over the unit with duct tape around to keep it on the air conditioner.

There are different extremes to making your home air tight and comfortable. The homes in the Northern US need a lot more "weather treatment" than the homes in the Southern US states. These little maintenance items should keep your home toasty and warm during the winter months. Also, these tips will help avoid a call to the insurance adjuster for a flooded home.
